Participants are free to enjoy either or both activities, walk in the community, or rest in whatever way serves them best.

A gentle yoga flow focusing on opening the body, grounding, and turning attention inward to cultivate stillness and spacious awareness through focus and meditation.

Session 8: Growing On and Off the Mat: Taking Your Practice Home

Our closing session — integration, reentry preparation, and building a personal practice. A foundational "Take It Home" yoga sequence, review of retreat tools, community resources, and a final sharing circle.

Cate Bradley, ERYT-500, YACEP

Cate has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. She founded the Yoga Teacher Training program at Western New Mexico University in 2023 and the nonprofit Community Yoga Collaborative (CYC). CYC provides free or reduced-cost yoga to K-12 teachers, social workers, healthcare providers, and rehab counselors to help prevent professional burnout, and offers Youth Yoga Camps across southwest New Mexico. Cate has lived the benefits of yoga for over 50 years and is passionate about making those benefits available to anyone who wishes to learn and grow.

Pat Stone, RYT-200

Patricia (Pat) Stone has been practicing yoga for over nineteen years. She fell in love with the spiritual growth aspect of yoga and became a certified Yoga Teacher in Plano, TX. She taught Vinyasa Flow at the Lotus Center in Silver City for many years and is currently teaching kids yoga in the Cobre Elementary school district.

Sam Castello, RYT-200

Sam Castello is a yoga teacher and co-owner of Cactus Flower Community in Silver City. Sam believes that every single person is a creator at heart. Through his teaching, he guides students to use the physical and mental practices of yoga as a tool to rediscover, nurture, and cultivate the boundless creative space within themselves.

Comfortable yoga clothing, a journal, an open heart, and a willingness to explore. Yoga mats and props will be available. Dress in layers as mountain temperatures can vary. Walking shoes for time in nature are also recommended.
